Why did you start INNAVI?
Innavi evolved from a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to do better for the environment. We recognised the significant impact our sector has on the planet and wanted to work with food service businesses to find innovative ways to reduce their footprint.
Our goal is to become the go-to hub for all things sustainability in hospitality, through accreditations like Food Made Good (FMG), audits, training, and knowledge sharing. Taking on the role of custodians for the Food Made Good Standard here in Australia was one of our first steps towards this vision.
As the only globally recognised sustainability accreditation specifically for the food service sector, FMG provides venues with a comprehensive view of their business and its impact.

What do you imagine INNAVI will achieve over the next 5-10 years?
There is so much! The whole team is extremely dedicated to making a positive impact, but some of our top priorities are:
Creating a centralised hub of information where the industry can share knowledge and strategies to reduce its environmental impact.
Leading the industry’s move away from single use plastics and harmful chemicals as well as helping venues transition away from gas towards renewables.
Developing inclusive training programs tailored for all levels from apprentices to venue owners, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to act sustainably.
Collaborating with local, state, and federal governments to devise initiatives that incentivise restaurants to ‘do the right thing’
Working with our partners to build a resilient and vibrant food ecosystem that values sustainability at every level, through reducing food waste and celebrating local producers.
