Red alert over salmonella poisoning
These are humbling times for America. The dollar has collapsed. Holiday plans are in turmoil due to soaring petrol prices. And now food is carrying risks more often associated with Third World countries. The Food and Drug Administration is warning people against eating raw tomatoes after outbreaks of salmonella poisoning.
